¿

Why is it that even though I am most definitely an image-maker, while designing my website I seem to only be using text? And I am severely drawn to text?

In fact, in a recent online interview (I'll post a link, when it is up), I cited literature as my biggest influence. Authors (and poets) are always such great storytellers.

I strive to be a storyteller like them. Perhaps I am really a writer stuck in a visual artist....

This is actually very intersting, because I was just thinking that you are a very good writer while i read a different blog.

There are two things that I can think of as to why using text. First is that text itself, just the characters alone are very visually interesting. They are all abstaract but can stay uniform. Secondly is that the use of words alone is very visual. The interesting thing is that giving someone text and not the image itself allows for that person to actually have their own interpretation of what the author is trying to convey. If we were both given the word tree and were told to visualize a tree they would be totally different, and I'm talking about the entire thing. So it is understandable that you are so into literature and into text.

I hope I did not bore you and did not confuse you in any way.
